Game center will open in former Incredible Pizza Company location in St. Peters.

A new entertainment facility will open in the former Incredible Pizza Kitchen location in St. Peters on Monday.

Kokomo Joe's is a game center aimed at the 4 to 14 crowd that will offer glow in the dark miniature golf, bumper cars, mini bowling, arcade games, snack bar and birthdays. It's located at 4105 North Cloverleaf in St. Peters in the former Incredible Pizza Kitchen building.

Owners Joe and Angel Johnson own two other Kokomo Joe's facilities in Rolla, MO, one with an indoor skating rink with laser tag and and the other an outdoor mini golf and go kart facility.

"They just fell in love with the industry and there's only so much of a market out in Rolla," General Manager Madeleine Strupp said. "They've got a great crew there now so they felt comfortable leaving them so they came up here."

The St. Peters location is their largest facility at 58,000 square feet. They plan to add laser tag as a new attraction in a few months and are looking to hire 20 additional employees.

There's no admission fee. Money can be loaded on a card and each game is priced in cash—like 30 cents—as opposed to points. Cards can be used at the snack bar as well.

"You come in and you pay for things you want to do," she said. "Parents don't want to pay to get in the door to bring their kids to go pay mini golf. We're not going to do that."

There's no age requirement for the restaurant. Parents are free to drop off groups of kids and pick them up later, Strupp said.

"If you feel like they are responsible, that's OK," she said.
