Boy Scout Donates Balance Beams to United Services

Boy Scout Andrew Chautin, of St. Charles, donated nine balance beams to United Services in St. Peters as part of his Eagle Scout project.
Chautin, 18, worked for three years raising funds for the project, according to a press release.
The balance beams will be used to help children develop core strength, practice coordination. United Services staff members said the beams are even better than those commercially available because they are more easily transported and are more durable.
Chautin's younger brother attended United Services and learned to walk at the center.
