Police, Drivers Should Be Mindful of Challenges While Navigating Construction Zones

The powers that be are really giving the gas to the continuation of the Page Extension.

I can recall no comparable road project that manifested such apparent bits of progress nearly every day. One day a bridge is topped; another, a road is redirected and, then, bam, a new electric signal.  It's exciting how this effort is incrementally shaving a bit off commute time to and from portions of St. Peters.  However, this is road construction and everyone must strive to understand the issues it poses for every day drivers.   

Road construction environment calls for heightened driving alertness with much less cell phone calls and texting, but traffic law enforcement must use common sense as well. Drivers feel the pressure of day-to-day changes to their old familiar routes. 

Police officers enforcing traffic must take this into account.  The safety of road workers is paramount, but to the extent that drivers are slowing, missing newly-required turns, or misunderstanding a newly erected signal; I hope that warning citations are part of the St. Peters police corrective measures.
